From the Philippines to the international stage, Tanduay rums are winning the respect of discerning drinkers, proving that local craftsmanship can compete on the international stage.
At the recent World Spirits Competition hosted by Cigar & Spirits Magazine, Tanduay was bestowed two gold medals — one each for Tanduay Reserve Rum 10 Years and Tanduay Double Rum.
The contest gathered some of the world’s finest spirits and was judged by a panel of industry experts, professional tasters and spirit connoisseurs. They underwent a strict blind-tasting process to ensure fairness and integrity, with all identifying information about the products removed.
From this rigorous judging, Tanduay proved that Philippine-made rums can stand among the world’s best.
“Tanduay’s achievements represent the enduring skill and passion of the Filipino craftsman. Since 1854, Tanduay has always been Philippine-made. Its distilling, aging, blending and bottling processes are all done in the country. The ingredients used are also sourced locally,” Tanduay said in a statement.
Tanduay has significantly expanded its reach, bringing a taste of the Philippines to the world. It is available in Armenia, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Denmark, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, India, Luxembourg, Malta, New Zealand, People’s Republic of China, Peru, Poland, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, the Netherlands, United Arab Emirates, United States and United Kingdom.
